Dear Cathedral Family,
This Sunday we will begin our annual season of stewardship as we look forward to a new year of following and serving Jesus Christ together here at Christ Church.
The theme for 2026 is “Tell Out My Soul,” and during this season we will be telling the stories of how God has greatly blessed us in the life and gifts of his Son, how the power of Christ’s love has drawn us together to follow him, and how we are called to return a portion of our lives and gifts to him.
Our speaker this Sunday will be Carl Cunningham, Jr., who will share more about our theme and about his own story with us—how God has called him to share his talents, gifts, and love with his community. And he will invite you to begin considering God’s call to you.
You will be hearing more from me in a separate email next week, and on Sunday, October 26, Stewardship Chairs Terri and Richard Gaal will speak, explaining more about our stewardship and asking you for your participation.
Among our gifts in the Cathedral Family is the joy of music. Last Sunday evening was a beautiful gift of music from Cathedral Organist and Choirmaster Dr. Joshua Coble. The recital was well-attended by both Cathedral Family and friends from throughout the Mobile community and the diocese. If you couldn’t be with us, you can still enjoy a recording of Josh’s performance by clicking this link. Please also consider making a gift in thanksgiving for Josh’s ministry to the Cathedral Organ Fund.
I look forward to our sharing and working together in the season ahead.
Faithfully,
Beverly+
