Rally Day!

Dear Cathedral Family,

Construction related to termite damage repair has changed the locations and some formats for our life together here in the sacred space, but the heart of our shared life continues to beat strong. We gather to grow in following Jesus Christ as Lord and in making His love known to the world.

The renewed energy of our physical closeness in the Chapter House space reminds us of our true identity as the Body of Christ and of the new life we share in Him. This Sunday we will celebrate the baptism of Molly Mattei, a great opportunity on this first day of the new program year to remember who we are in renewing together our baptismal vows.

Rally Day may look different this year, but the spirit remains true to a life of new beginnings. Following worship, the renewed Sunday School space upstairs will be open for you to visit the new Atrium for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. While you are there, you will find sign-up opportunities for many of the ministries we share. These may also be found online on our website and through links in this email.

While we are displaced from “the way we always do it,” we have received lots of gifts: getting to know new people, reacquainting with old friends, experiencing different ways to pray and to come to the Lord’s Table, finding new ways to do ministry, as well as new ministries themselves. We have also welcomed lots of new faces among us. This is all Good News, indeed!
