It Is Still Christmas!

Dear Cathedral Family,

It is still Christmas! Our worship on this Second Sunday after Christmas Day, as we move toward the Epiphany, will focus on the “flight into Egypt,” when Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus fled to escape Herod’s wrath. The journey into Egypt and back again parallels the story of Moses and establishes in yet another way Jesus as the Messiah who comes to save his people.

Although there will not be a sign-up this week, we will gather for in-person worship, with seating in designated pews and all existing protocols still in place. The link for the live stream is included in this email.

The Cathedral office will reopen on Monday, January 4, and the Dean’s Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, January 5.

Next Wednesday, January 6, will be the Feast of the Epiphany, which we will observe at our noon service, which will be both in person and live steamed.

I hope that your Christmas continues to be filled with peace and that you are experiencing the light of Christ in your homes. We all continue to pray for a brighter and more hope-filled 2021!

Peace,

Beverly+
