Dear Cathedral Family,

It is STILL Easter! And it will be until the Day of Pentecost on Sunday, June 8!

The Sunday following that will be Trinity Sunday, on June 15 (Fathers Day), and then, on June 22, we will begin the long green season of Ordinary Time after Pentecost.

Planning is underway for summer Vacation Bible School, which will once again be taking place during our children’s formation time on Sunday mornings, beginning June 1 and running for ten Sundays, until August 3. Stay tuned for other “pop-up” formation opportunities as the summer progresses. This is a time of year to rest from our usual program schedule and allow ourselves to be renewed and made ready for the remainder of the year.

Your vestry is working on the planning phase of our termite repair construction, as well as a few other projects long delayed during the process of settling our claim. Stay tuned for more news about these plans also as the summer unfolds.

Finally, a huge THANK YOU to all our youth and parents for Youth Sunday last week. It was an energized and energizing day, one that generated hope and great expectation for the years ahead in the church as these amazing young leaders grow into who God has created them to be.

Every day I give thanks to God for the children and youth and their families who are part of the Cathedral Family. They are a precious gift and a great responsibility for the whole Church.
